This Summer our Organic garden yielded quite a nice variety of items we used mainly during the later part of summer.
It certainly was a strange summer. I planted my first seed way back in April-May, but due to the lack of sun few of the seeds
ever yielded much. Our last batch of arugula however has been amazing, leaves about 8 inches long and nice and spicy.
Our Yellow tomatoes were pretty good too even though several weeks ago I was questioning if we would have any.
Over the next few weeks however we will be using them in various ways.
This year we grew lots of herbs, those included: Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Tarragon, Basil, Cilentro, Chives, Mint & Oregano.
I made tarragon pesto as well as sage pesto and I don't put nuts as is traditionally done. That way those with nut allergies can still enjoy our pesto.
We will be serving our garden arugula as well as our beets and swiss chard until we run out.
Hopefully our next growing season will be better.
